Welcome! Lakeside Inn is a historical restaurant serving fine food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. We are located on Main Street in the heart of the quaint village of Wauconda, Illinois. Lakeside Inn has been many establishments over the more than 160 years it first graced the downtown area of Wauconda. Lakeside Inn was originally a stagecoach stop for travelers between Wauconda and Janesville, Wisconsin. The stage run lasted two days and ran twice a week.
Over the years the original building operated under many different names with as many uses from stagecoach stop, restaurant, local brothel, and the Grand Hotel. Now known as Lakeside Inn, the building has continously operated since it's founding - and as it has in the past - provides fine eating and drinking. The building retains its charm and has been impeccably maintained to preserve it's rich heritage and history.
Join us for weekend breakfast Friday-Sunday, lunch and dinner is served daily in our dining rooms, relaxing upper balcony, and first level open atrium. We also serve in our famous Lakeside Inn Bar - with live music (weekends), games, and TV sets. We feature live music - from pop to rock to folk to country and more - every weekend. When the season permits, our outdoor front patio area is open daytime and evenings.
